We are looking for top notch people. You will be interacting directly with customers, and you will be a representative of Escape:chandler.  Because of this, we are only interested in people who have a fun loving, outgoing, and energetic personality. You will interact with guests on a daily basis, in a positive, creative, and fun way and ensure that every guest has an awesome first-class, five-star experience. At Escape:chandler, the customer and their experience always come first.   

 

With that said, we are currently looking for part-time (nights and weekends) escape room Game Masters to join our escape room team! You MUST have played at least three escape rooms prior to applying and have a genuine passion for escape games (be prepared to discuss this). 

 

You MUST be available to work after 5 PM on weeknights and between 10AM and 10 PM on Saturday and Sunday.  These are our peak times, and shifts will be assigned, not selected.  

 

You MUST have your own transportation and live within a 35 minute commute to our facility (there will be times you will be “on-call”).

Position Summary:

You will meet and greet customers, take payments, answer phones, go over the escape game rules, locks, and backstory and enter customers into the games.  During the game, you will help players in the game by answering questions and providing clues or hints, while also maintaining the immersive aspect of the escape game.  You must be able to efficiently deal with technical issues that sometimes arise during gameplay and be encouraging to the customers regardless of the outcome of their game.  After the game you will be responsible for taking group photos, interacting with and exiting the customers.  Following each game, you must correctly “reset” the rooms for the next customers and repair or replace any broken items that may have occurred during the previous game.  You will be responsible for doing facility checks, cleaning, organization of supplies, and follow up sales. Some game master experience is preferred. However, we are willing to train the right person if you are a good fit (good knowledge of escape rooms and how they run/social/have wits/able to follow instructions/fun/outgoing/).

Our ideal candidate should have experience in Game Mastering escape room games.

You must be over 18 due to the nature of our liquor license.

Job Type:

Part-time - Work.  Hours will be based on business needs.  We are an appointment only facility, so you will be "on call" during nights and weekends and must be prepared to arrive at our facility within a 35 minute notification that a game has booked.  Usually there is more advanced notice, but sometimes players will book games last minute, and you may be needed to run those games.

Qualifications and skills:

​

• Must have experience with Escape Rooms (played or run)

• Must be over 18, due to our liquor license requirements

• Must be available on nights and weekends

• During these times, must be available to show up to work with only a 35 minute notice

• Must be outgoing and fun

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills

• Must be able to follow directions

• Excellent customer service skills with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

• Exceptional work ethic - MUST be extremely dependable, punctual and responsible

• Works well in a fast-paced environment

• Must maintain confidentiality of games

• Basic knowledge and understanding of computers

• Willing to grow and learn in various roles outside of immediate position

• Need to be able to lift up to 30 lbs., reach, squat, kneel, and climb a ladder

• High school or equivalent required, some college preferred

• Requires sitting for extended periods of time in small control room with other Game Masters

• MUST be able to pass background check. Job references required.
